Mull (23rd July)

Today's planned trip was to take the car over from peninsula at Kilchoan to the (capital of mull) Tobermory.  The 30 min crossing by ferry also produced some year ticks including 5+ Razorbills, 8+ Guillemots (with accompanying fledglings) and 1 Black Guillemot.  Our main aim of the day was for my brother and I to cycle along the north eastern edge of Loch Frisa were White-tailed Eagles were apparently present and had bred.  Unfortunately (despite being in the best location in Mull for seeing the Eagles we failed to get any reasonable sighting) only two probable brief glimpses of what could have been White-tailed Eagles.  However, we did see other birds of prey in the form of a Sparrowhawk and plenty of Buzzards.
