Fields behind the RSSKL (18th July)

I gave Theo a walk around my usual local area after coming back from Watford to pick my bike up.  Being bitten in the leg by a dog on my way back through Cassiobury Park was definitely not the highlight of the day, instead it was the butterflies.  Not a great deal, but still a fair amount given the condition of the local farmland.  In total I saw 11+ Meadow Browns, 4+ Ringlets and 4 Marbled Whites.  However, best of all was a new species for me and my local patch, Essex Skipper!
