RSPB reserve at Glenborrodale (18th July)
Another day out birding stared with the usual encounter of a Common Seal in the loch, Terns in the Bay (to distant to tell which exact species), 3 Shags, and a singing Sedge Warbler. Just outside the car park to the RSPB reserve my brother and I saw 1 Common Sandpiper and 16+ Shags. The reserve entered into an ancient oak wood were very little bird life was present except for the commoner Coal and Blue Tits. Outside of the woodland is an open area of heather covered mountains and ferns. As well as 3 Ravens only 1 Sparrowhawk was seen. Unfortunately no Golden Eagles.
